FINAL DAY TO RESPOND TO POOL POLL

As previously posted, the HOA Board is requesting Homeowner Input on a proposed project to install a community pool.  To date, only 45% of the homeowners registered on the HOA Website have recorded their vote.  This final email is being sent to encourage everyone to record their vote, before the poll closes at midnight tonight.

TO COMPLETE THE POLL, YOU WILL NEED TO GO TO THE WEBSITE, AND LOG IN.  ONCE YOUR RESPONSE HAS BEEN RECORDED, THE RESULTS OF THE POLL WILL BE DISPLAYED.  THE POLL WILL STAY ACTIVE UNTIL MIDNIGHT, WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 30th.   Only the responses to the poll will be accepted – no emailed responses will be accepted.

HOMEOWNER POLL – More Responses Needed.

If you have already recorded your response to the poll – THANK YOU.  If you have not yet recorded your response, please take a moment to record the response.

A request has been made to the HOA Board of Directors, to investigate the possibility of installing a COMMUNITY POOL within the Quail Crossing HOA community.  It has been suggested that the pool would be a great amenity for the community, and would have a positive affect on the property values throughout the community.   There are a number of issues that will have to be investigated as there are a number of unknown variables, but based upon the preliminary cost estimates, the Board would like to get homeowner input, before moving forward.

The initial concept that has been presented, would include the installation of a 30’x60′ basic rectangular pool in the common area at the far West end of Chukar Dr.  The pool would be surrounded by a wrought iron fence for security purposes, and the pool would be 3′ deep at the shallow end, and roughly 5′ deep at the deep end.  Basic bathrooms and a pool equipment room would be installed.  Only homeowners/residents and their guests would get access to the pool, it would not be a public pool.  Each house would receive an electronic key card, that would grant them access into the pool.

Based upon the current PRELIMINARY estimates, a special assessment to cover the construction costs would need to be approved by the homeowners, and would not exceed $500/home.  Operating costs of the pool would increase quarterly dues $25/qtr.

The Board would like to get homeowner input, to know if there are a significant number of homes within the community that would support the installation of the additional amenity.  An electronic poll is available to all registered users of the website.  The Board would like to get your input as to whether you would support the installation of a community pool at this time, based upon a one time special assessment of $500 per household, and an increase in the quarterly assessments of $25/qtr.

Once the responses from the community have been tabulated, the HOA Board of Directors will make the decision on whether to investigate the topic further, or drop the topic from consideration.  If there is significant support from the community to move forward with the project, please be aware that specific information on the project will be distributed to all homeowners in the community, and an official vote will need to be approved by 67% of the community for the project to be approved.  This initial poll is just to get an idea as to whether the installation of a pool would be supported by the majority of homeowners in the community, and is not an official vote of any kind.
